Some go to rural or suburban areas to save up on costs in terms of property purchase, land rental, wages and cost of living. Others prefer to be in the metropolitan district, where they are at the hub of commerce. They choose such a location so that they can easily access clients, customers and business partners, while at the same time being equally accessible to these people. The choice of a property will depend upon the factors that have been discussed above. It will also depend on whether the company wants to buy the piece of land or building or if it merely wants to take out a lease. In the case of the former option, then it would also be important to know the resale potential of the property. It must increase in value if ever the company decides to resell it or let it in the next several decades. Developing provinces, growing suburban cities and continually progressive cities can be places where a property's value has a lot of potential growth. Policies and tax schemes will also play a role in choosing a location for a business.
When a growing firm looks for a better office to move into, it usually chooses a building in an urban area. The choice of a building must be determined not only by its price, location and space, but also by its amenities and facilities. Buildings with working elevators and disabled facilities are common these days. However, not all are well-kept. Find one that is maintained well. This can clearly be seen by its cleanliness, specially in storage areas and in restrooms. It will also matter if you need a ready Internet connection or a conference room with video conferencing facilities. An employee cafeteria and a parking lot would be a plus.
